L'oreal GlamShine Stain Splash Princess 200 Review+Swatch

Eeee! I'm kinda excited for today's review. I present to you ladies one of my current favourite lip product.... the L'oreal GlamShine Stain Splash in the colour Princess 200! (that was a bit long)

I bought this a couple of months ago and have been using this nonstop. I love the packaging. It's really helpful that you can actually see the product inside in the packaging - it saves time when choosing what colour to pick. The packaging is nice, sleek and handy. I like how the lid feels really secure when I close it because the worst thing you can find is when your lipgloss has somehow magically opened in your makeup bag and made everything sticky! (=_=) ...its happened to me before....

Applicator is doe shaped and the best thing about it is that it's flexible. So when you apply it you can really get a nice precise application as the brush moves in the shape of your lips.

Now onto the product itself. It's not too liquidy and nor too thick and sticky. It applies smoothly on to the lips. Colour wise this is a reddish colour with an oragnish tint (if that makes any sense :p) One layer is sheer but the colour is definitely buildable. That what I like about this. It's so useful. You can apply this by itself one layer to get a natural lip look or build it up for a statement look. You could experiment with it and wear it on top of different lipcolours as a gloss. I personally use this to get a very natural look. I usually just apply a bit and then use my fingers to blend into my lips. This is also great for a soft gradient lip effect. Some people might find this a tad bit sticky and texture kinda weird ....I did in the beginning but I can't notice it at all now.

This does have a very strong smell that you can definitely smell. It smells like candy and sweets which is always nice to smell ^.^  However, if you are sensitive to fragrances then this might be a bit too strong for you.

As for being a stain, I don't think its staining power is as great as other lipstains which last for hours and hours. This does stain your lips a bit but it doesn't last that long. I would say that this is more of a hybrid of a lipstain and lipgloss ( it's more like a lipgloss though but without the whole replying every single second)

Overall, I have been loving this and recommend you to try it. I'll definitely be trying  out other shades but I think that this is the best colour in the collection.

Have you tried any glamshine stains? What's your fav lip product recently?

Collective Skincare Haul

It's that time of the year when we all suddenly start to look after our skin, well... you should look after your skin all year round but during winter is when our skin is the most vulnerable. My skin has gotten so dry recently as well as that I have been breaking out all over again. I took that as my cue to step up my skincare routine. Here are a few things that I have picked up during the winter in hopes of reviving my skin.

1. L'Occitane Immortelle Anti-Ageing Starter Set - £20

This as well, I had not intention of buying beforehand, but the set was so cute and tiny. I thought it would be a great way to get introduced to L'Occitane. This contains three mini products - Essential waters, Foam cleanser and Precious cream. You basically have your 3-step skincare routine in one set. Is it kinda a weird that I'm more excited for the tiny packaging rather than the product itself.. ? :/

2. Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask - £12
I received this as a birthday present from my friend who has been trying to making try this for oh so long. So this is supposedly fix my dry skin problems....we shall see.

3.Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream - £10
I don't have much expectation for this because this was a free gift with purchase from the Body Shop (there was an offer during christmas time). I haven't heard much about this and I don't think it will do anything to my seriously dry skin, but I do think it might just be handy as face cream to keep in handy.

4. My Beauty Diary Face Sheet Masks -£10 each
This. I can't begin to explain how long I have been wanting to get. I heard about the My Beauty Diary ( i like the name ^^ ) ages ago when I was first introduced to Asian skincare and since then I really really wanted to try sheet masks. But not just any sheet masks. My Beauty Diary sheet masks. I got the apple polyphenol and black pearl ones simply because these were the bestsellers on Yesstyles.

5. Elemis Freshskin Clear Overnight Serum -£18
Now this I had no intention of buying before hand, it was more of an impulse buy. I was excited to try some thing from Elemis. However, most of their products are aimed at a bit older women so I didn't know if their products would be suitable for teenage skin. But when I saw this, it caught my eye as it's aimed for younger people with breakout problem. I haven't heard of this before so I don't really know what to expect. It was quite an OK price for Elemis and it would be a great price it actually helps clear my breakout.

6.Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit - £14.75
I have had my eye on the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser forever. As it is always on QVC, it never leaves my mind and I thought what better time to buy this then now. I picked up the starter kit because well... the clue is in the name ..'starter'..I have super high hopes for this. Fingers crossed hopefully it does my skin some justice.

7. No7 The Skincare Collection Protect & Perfect - £16
I had my eye on this all of December mainly because I wanted to try the whole hot cloth cleanse thing. I really wanted to get this but never did because I just think of reasons to justify me buying it. Buuutt....boxing day Boots had a half price sale and this baby was only £8! I couldn't help it, I got 2 of them! I have been using this quite often and I quite like it. I might do a comparison between No7 and the Liz Earle one.

8. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion + -£29.50
Next up is the ever so famous Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion for dry to very dry skin. My skin can get supppeeerr dry so I'm hoping to tame it by using this. I've heard quite a lot about this and I looking forward to its magic.

What have you been buying this winter?
