Collection Shimmer Shade Review

I featured this in my collective beauty haul a while ago and I thought I might share with you how amazing I think this actually is.I mainly bought this because I thought it looked quite nice in the packaging. The packaging is clear, simple and sturdy.

There are 4 shades which you can swirl your brush in and get a lovely colour to pop of the cheeks. or you can select colours to mix together. As the name suggests, this is quite shimmery but not too much, it's still an everyday kind of product. This is great for those days when you just don't have the time and this acts as your bronzer, blush and highlighter in one stroke. I feel like my skin looks a lot more illuminated when I put this on.

I don't just use this as a face product, I also use this a eyeshadow palette because the colours look so pretty on the eyes. I especially like the shade 2 on eyelids - it's such a warm colour. To tell you the truth, I have been using this more as an eye palette than as what its supposed to be used for.>.<

Have you tried this before? Or anything similar?

Essence I Heart Extreme Mascara Review

When I heard from a fellow blogger that Essence had hit some certains Wilkinson store. I checked and found that my local Wilkos had them in stock. I was excited because I had heard so much about this mascara that I couldn't wait to get my hand on it.

Let me start by saying I really like this mascara. I'm so happy this wasn't a disappointment like Rimmel's Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara which I think is just awful. The brush is slightly bigger than a normal brush and I think that helps add volume to the eyelashes.

The formula is just perfect, I really don't like liquidy mascaras because it makes my eyelashes lose their curl. The mascara is drying up now, which is quite annoying because I get quite a lot of fall outs on my face throughout the day so I guess it's time to chuck it away. But I will definitely be getting this again. I can't remember how much this was exactly but it was around the 3 pound mark which is cheap for a decent mascara nowadays.

Have you tried Essence products before? Recommend me some Essence products that you like.

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

L-R Cherry Me, Pink Punch

Yes, I have been sucked into the 'Baby Lips' hypes and bought these mainly because I was sick and tired of hearing about how great they were from other blogs. Since they were on 3 for 2 in Boots, I thought now was a good time to buy them. I bought two of the tinted ones and one clear one because I felt it wouldn't be worth the money if I just bought clear ones.

First of all, I bought this one mainly because of the colour. I love blue. The lipbalm itself is white in the tube but applies clear. It's claims to have SPF 20 which is always handy. The smell is zesty and fresh, but the scent doen't last long on the lips. It disappears right after applying. I apply this before I start applying my make up so my lips are hydrated before applying any lip product.  Maybelline claims this gives up to 8 hours hydration which I think is very far fetched. I think at best it gives about only 2 hours of hydration.

Pink Punch
This has to be my favourite out the baby lips that I have. I love the soft pink colour it give to my lips and it's always in my bag. The smells similar to Trident tropical gum, if you have every tried that. Arrgh. Can't get enough of the smell! I love the fact I can just smother this on wherever I am without needing a mirror.

Cherry Me

This, I guess, is the most popular one. It gives a natural succulent red hint to your lips. This has that artifical cherry scent which I surprising quite like. I love applying this on top of a red lip tint because it just makes my lips look just a bit more special.

Overall, I think that these Maybelline Baby Lips are quite nice lip balms for the price but I think the hype around them is just too big. There are plenty of other lip balms that are just as good.

Have you tried baby lips? Do you think they're worth the hype?

Collective Beauty Haul

Helllo my beauties!
It feels like forever since I posted something. I blame A-levels, I been getting so much homework to do that I haven't even been able to have a moment to myself and blog. Surprisingly, even though I have been busy lately, I have done quite a bit of damage. I thought I'd share what I have been buying over the last two months. Some of the items I got like the sleek products I have been dying to get for ages, so I am super excited to get them :)

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Fair
I have been meaning to pick this up after loving Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation. I really wanted to give other Rimmel foundations a try and oh boy am I happy I got this. Lately, I have been using this more than Wake Me Up and it is slowly becoming my 'go to foundation'.

Maybelline Baby Lips
Now, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has been eyeing the Maynelline Baby L:ips for a while. I picked these 'babies' ( see what I did there :p ) while it was on 3 for 2 at Boots!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
Do I even have to say anything about this? I don't even have to say why I got this because we all know this is a must have product and you should never be without! Surprisingly, my last one ran out almost 8 months ago and I haven't been bothered to get a new till now.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
Since I got the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, I thought I might as well get the 'matching' (get it?..Match Perfection MATCHing ... )concealer. I will probably mainly use this for under the eyes as it reminds me of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer, which I love for under eyes.

Essence I Heart Extreme Mascara
I haven't heard or seen essence brand that much mainly because it wasn't available in the UK until recently. So as I heard it was launched in my nearest Wilkinsons I decided to have a look and I picked this up and so far so good! :) I might do a full review on this later.

Collection 2000 Brown Mascara
I have been wanting to try a brown mascara for a long time now. I don't have the courage to wear a bright blue one so I thought a subtle brown colour will be better. When I saw this I thought I why not just give it a go, it's Collection which I love and it's only 1.99 but sadly, the formula of this is just 'Blah!' I used it a few times and after that I just can't.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush
I this little gem whilst passing through Tesco's cosmetics area and I saw a basket with clearance products in it. There wasn't much that interested me but when I saw this for only 3.35, I had to buy it! and I'm so glad I did because I freaking love this blush!

MUA Undress Me Too Palette
We have all heard about MUA palettes and how amazing they are. I originally wanted to get the heaven and earth palette but since it was a dupe for the Naked palette I thought there was no point of getting it as I already have the Naked palette. However, after reading a few post, I realised that the undress me too palette is a dupe for the Naked 2 palette and then it was a must have, sadly I don't have the Naked 2 palette in my life but oh well at least I this now.

Sleek Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette
I love sleek. I love all of their products....I want them all! I only have their Ultra Matte Bright eyeshadow palette that I bought in the summer hoping to experiment with bright colours but sadly never did. So I really wanted to get a more natural eyeshadow palette that I could wear everyday. Since I already got the Undress me too palette I didn't want to get another bronzey and goldeny palette. So when I so this palette I was in love with the colours and it didn't take long till it was in my basket!

Sleek Face Palette
This was another of those purchases that I have been waiting for ages to get. I was kind of unsure of what shade I should get because I was terrified of getting a really dark contour colour and never using it. So to be on the safe side I chose the fairest shade. And I must say that I really like the contour colour, not too dark, just as I like it.

Sleek Blush by 3 in Pumpkin
Ok. I must admit I only got this because of that orangey colour. Isn't just lovely? I have really been loving that colour. The pigmentation on these blushes are no joke. A little goes a long way. I don't think I will ever finish these blushes in my life time.

Sleek Blushes in Pixie Pink & Flushed
These were smaller than I expected when I received them. I always expected them to be a bit bigger but I actually really like the cute compact size. It's really handy to carry around but I don't ever have to carry this around because the blush stays on all day, without budging!

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shade in Way-To-Go
Now, I didn't particularly wanted this but my sister was the one who persuaded me to buy this. I thought I might as well give this a go. So far I must say this is one of my favourite out of the haul so far. The packaging is sturdy and sleek. There will be a review on this shortly.

Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow in Mocha/Latte
I saw someone blog about this and I thought what a handy little duo. I use this nearly everyday now. I like the fact that both colours are matte so I can use the brown shade for my eyebrows and use the lighter colour for highlight. For 1.99 I think is the best purchase so far.

Phew! That was long!

What have you guys been buying lately?

Nail of The Day # 2

Hi Guys! It feels like forever since I last posted! Anyways, I recently have been feeling a bit more creative with my nails and I thought I might show you guys!

I have always loved the leopard print nail designs but never personally did it on my nails...mainly because I had no idea how to do it! So after a few videos on YouTube, I felt ready to master the art leopard print. Unfortunately, I didn't really have many browns, oranges to match leopard colours so I decided to go with a more fun colour choice. I used a Sally Hassen white nail polish which I'm not too fond's too runny. Model's Own black nail polish - I forgot the name of it. Lastly, I used Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream. Oh! I forgot to mention I used Barry M's 3 in 1 Clear Nail Polish as a top coat. That completes the look!

Have you ever tried the leopard print nail art? What's on your nails right now?

August Favourites

I know I am a day late for my august favourites but I truly just forgot the month ended! I wanted to post this on the first of the month but I didn't, oh well better late than never. Here are my August favourites, lets get started it!

Urban Decay Naked Palette
This has been my go to palette this whole month mainly because I use the shade Buck so much. I use it for everything, as an eyeshadow to contour, to fill in my brows or to line my lash line when I want a more natural look. It's the perfect matte brown shade. I am seriously going to hit pan on Buck soon :'( I'm looking out for an eyeshadow similar to buck but less expensive than the Naked Palette, if you know any then please comment below.

Revlon Top Speed in Royal
You may have seen this in my previous NOTD post and I can not express how much I have been loving this nail colour this month. I still have some on my nails though is chipped really badly so I will have to clean it  soon. This drys quite quick and gives an opaque colour in one coat.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
This has been the only foundation that I have been using this month and I think I will be using this for the next month as well because it's such a good foundation. The texture is so velvety and soft, it's ideal for my dry skin. This does have small sparkles in it which made me cringe at the thought of my face looking like a disco ball at first but after wearing this you'll hardly notice the glitter. In fact, it make your face look illuminated and glowy in daylight! However, under indoor lights you can slightly notice the glitter.

Astor Perfect Stay Transferproof lip&care in Blushing Rose
I randomly bought this in my last Fragrance Direct haul not expecting it to be amazing for only 99p.I was pleasantly surprised by this! The colour is a reddish colour but the colour is buildable, if your not too confident with bold lip colours then just a one sheer layer is fine. I use this as a base and lip liner before applying a red lipstick because I think it just make my lipstick last longer and look  sharper. I use this more when I am doing a gradient lip effect because the gradient last longer especially when eating. I have so much to say about, I think I might as well just make a whole blog post on this.

Royal Large Eyeshadow Brush
I got this from Fragrance Direct as well and it was super cheap (can't remember how much but it was cheap believe me). I ordered quite a few different eyeshadow brushes but this stood out to me because it has been the most useful one when I am doing my make up. I use this to blend my eyeshadows and I think it does a great job for the price I paid. If your looking for a good blending brush then look no further!

Topshop Magic Liner in Engraved
I saw ages ago someone post about this and it had been on mind since then and I am so glad I picked this up because this has been a lifesaver. This makes eyeliner application so quick and easy. I swear by gel liner but this is just 'magic' - see what I did there ;) It was tricky in the beginning getting use to using it but after a couple of tries I could do my eyeliner in less than a minute.. no joke.

What were your August favourites? Have you tried any of the products I've mentioned?

Nail of the Day # 1

Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Royal

Sorry guys I haven't I been blogging lately, I just have been so caught up in the whole GCSE result, sixth form, colleges blah blah blah... I am exhausted! I hope everyone that received their GCSE results this week got the grade they were hoping for and hopefully got into the sixth form/college that you wanted. I'm happy I got the grades I wanted and got into the sixth form I wanted and now to celebrate I am going to treat myself to 3 boxes of sweet and yummy strawberries. ^.^ hehe!

I decided to show you guys the nail colour I have been loving this past week. I hardly ever just paint my nails one colour - I ALWAYS have to do some kind of nail art. But this time I just didn't feel like doing anything else to my nails because I am sooo in love with this royal blue colour. It just makes me so happy looking at it. :) I recently have been trying to grow my nail and have been shaping them a square shape ( I usually have rounded nails ) and I think this colour suits silver rinsg so much that I have been wearing them non-stop!

I only painted one coat and without top coat, mainly because I couldn't be bothered. It lasted quite a while, some of the nails did chip but I just painted over it again. I think with 2 coats and a top coat this would last a week , I'm sure. This was my first Top Speed nail polish by Revlon and I was surprised how quick it did dry. very impressed! Though, one thing I don't like is the smell of smells kinda funny...I don't know how to explain it.

This is available in Boots and Superdrugs for 6.49 but I got mine from Fragrance Direct for 99p :) Check out my last Fragrance Direct Haul.

What nail polish have you been loving recently?

Beauty Wishlist #1

Don't we all have a never-ending list of products we want to get and try out? I know I have! I decided to make a wishlist to share want I have been wanting recently. It was hard to limit it to only 5 products but I somehow managed to do it. Let's get started :)

1. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Nude
I saw this ages ago and I was intrigued by it since then. I use a white eye pencil on my waterline to make my eyes look more awake and big but sometimes it can look too harsh and unnatural. Therefore, when I saw this and how it's a nude colour I thought it would be perfect for me.

2.Sleek Blush
I don't know what shades I want the Sleek Blushes in so I didn't specify. I have seen many good reviews and I have also swatched this instore and I absolutely love it. I also love the's oh so sleek (see what I did there). I can't wait to get this soon.

3. Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr eyeshadow
I have recently started to wear more eye make up and have been looking for a good base for my eyeshadows. I have been wanting to get MAC Paintpots but after I saw the Maybelline ones being compared to MACs I knew I had to try these before buying any MAC ones. The colours that pop out to me were On and On Bronze, Everlasting Navy and Pink Gold - I hoping to get them whilst Maybelline still has the 3 for 2 offer on. I wish Maybelline did more neutral shades rather than bright glittery ones.

4. Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels
I recently saw some blog post about this blush and after hearing about it so much I thought I might check it out. The next time I was in Topshop (which isn't often) I swatched it and it was gorgeous. However, the queue was sooooo long it wasn't worth the wait. So next time I'm in Topshop, I'll definitely be picking this up.

5. N.Y.C. Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720A
I have never been the bronzer type of person mainly because my bronzers look too dark and almost muddy on me. I have light skin so finding the light colour bronzer is hard. I came across this product a few times and I finally decided to research it and from what I have seen and read online I seriously believe this is the bronzer for me. Sad thing is though that this isn't available in the UK :( Oh Poopie! So, I don't know how I will be able to get my hands on this. I'll probably try eBay or Amazon.

What's on your wishlist? Have you tried any of there products, if yes, what do you think them?

Day Out: Westfield Stratford City + Haul

On Sunday, me and my sister decided to go out to Westfield since we haven't had a day out in such a long time. Choosing where to go was easy as I was in a serious mood to shop and of course the perfect place for that was Westfield. We went to Westfield Stratford City rather than London mainly because it's bigger. I was super excited and I thought I might share my experience with you guys. I was hoping to take a lot of picture but sadly I was too distracted by other things that I forgot to  :( Oh well, at least I have a few pictures to show! Also, we we're allowed to take pictures inside the shops (I don't know why?! ) so as soon as any shop assistant saw my camera they ran straight to us to tell us we couldn't take any photos T.T
We started with the ground floor and worked our way up. The first store we went to was Beauty Base. I was looking forward to go this store because it always has really cheap stuff, mainly perfume and make up. I managed to snap a few pictures before we got told off . hehe. I naturally gravitated towards the make up area and they have a very large selection of L.A. Colors products. I decided to get a clear mascara, not for my eyelashes but for my eyebrows. It was 99p so I thought I'll give it a shot. There was a large selection of nail polishes and I tried to stay away from them or else I would end up buying all of them. As I was about to walk to the check out I saw the L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils. I immediately stopped and started swatching them. I found a white one and it reminded me of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I have been wanting that for ages but just never got it. So when I saw this and it was only...wait for it...99p! I quickly chucked it in my basket. I rumaged through the rest of the colours available and I found a balck one, a pinky and a rusty one. There were so many colours to choose from and they were all 99p I was just overwhelmed so I decided to only get 4. I'm very pleased with Jumbo Eye Pencils, they are very creamy. I haven't tried them out properly yet so we shall see if I'll like them after using them. One thing I did notice when I reached home was that there was no way for me to wind the eye pencil up and something like that. I didn't think these can be sharpened because they are made of plastic not wood. So I was seriously confused, I searched online and apparently you sharpen the plastic which sounds very strange but we'll see when the time comes.

After that we just went through the ground floor and then the first and then the second and we hardly bought anything. I guess we made it like a mission to go through the whole shopping centre that in the end we couldn't really shop properly. The only other shop we bought something from was Kiko. About a month ago, I saw that Kiko had a sale online and I really wanted to get the Glow Touch Lips & Cheek Tint because they were half price. I didn't have anytime then to go so when I saw Kiko I kinda hoped that it was still in stock and luckily the first thing that I saw when I walked in was the Glow Touch Lips & Cheek Tint. I was so happy but unfortunately the shades I wanted weren't there :( Oh Poopie. But still I decided to get one in the shade Pleasant Pink Azalea which is a very 'Pleasant Pink'. They were 2.90 each.
L-R L.A. Colors Jumbo Eyeshadow in Sunglasses, Sea Shells, Sand Castles, Cherry Blossom, Kiko Glow Touch in 04 Pleasant Pink Azalea swatched and blended

One of the shops that stood out was David & Goliath. It had some of the funniest stuff ever. It was all so cute and quirky. I definitely will be buying something from there soon.

After walking for ages, we finally sat down to have lunch. Oh my, lunch took forever. There are soo many places to eat that you're spoiled for choice. My sister collected a few menus from some of the restaurants and we sat down to choose where to eat from. At the end we decided to with a Thai restaurant called Rosa's. I chose Tom Yam Rice Noodles with Beef which was 8.99 and my sister got a rice and curry kind of dish (we can't remember the name >.<) and that was also 8.99 I think. My portion size was huge! It took me an hour to finish it all! My sister finished quite quickly and continued on shopping whilst I sat by myself eating and eating. We also got some steamed buns from a restaurant called Lotus Leaf. They were nice but not the best I have eaten.

After over an hour of sitting and eating, I was STUFFED. The shopping centre was about to close soon so we quickly headed to Bubbleology to get some Bubble Tea. I love bubble tea and I was looking forward to it the whole day. Thankfully the line wasn't long (the last time we got bubble tea we waited for an hour -__- ) I got Strawberry and Cream with strawberry popping boba in large and my sister got Mango Fruit Tea with Orange Popping Boba in Large. They were 4.25 each so for the two it was 8.50. After getting out bubble tea we headed home. I was super stuffed thanks to the big bowl of noodles but still I finished all the bubble tea because it was super duper good.

Overall, we had a fun day. We spent more money on food than actual shopping! Hehe :) I really enjoyed everything and had an excellent time!

Have you been to Westfield? Have you tried Bubble Tea? What's the most fun thing you've done this week?

Fragrance Direct Haul

I am pretty sure many of you have heard of Fragrance Direct which is known for their discount makeup. I have heard so much about it that I thought last week that it's about time I made an order from them and guess what?...I DID! :)

Before I started fishing for products in the website, I searched online for any discount codes or something. I was able to find a free delivery code for orders over £20. I wasn't sure if my order will reach £20 but to my surprise my total was £22.38 which meant I could use the discount code and my final total was £20.39! Yay for free delivery!

This may be a surprise to you but I didn't order any Essie nail polish! Nearly every Fragrance Direct haul I have seen have Essie nail polishes. At only £1.99 I can understand why everyone always buys them. However, if I were to do nail polish shopping as well then I would have probably have added all the nail polishes to my basket. I'll probably do a separate order for nail polishes (though I sneaked in a nail polish into this order anyway).

I ordered this on Wednesday last week and it arrived on the Wednesday this week, so it took 7 days to arrive which felt like forever because I was so excited about the delivery to arrive.

L-R  Angled Eye Shadow Brush, Contour Eye Shadow Brush, Smokey Eye Shadow Brush, Large Eye Shadow Brush, Blending Brush
Bourjois Une All Purpose Brush
I order mainly consisted of brushes and lip products. I bought some of the Royal Cosmetics brushes mainly because it was so cheap. I haven't used these yet so I'm not completely sure about them. However, I do like the handle of the brush it feels very sturdy and expensive for such a cheap price. Maybe after I use them a bit I might do a separate blog post on them. If I do I will place a link here. I also saw an UNE all purpose brush and it was for only £1.99 so I thought 'Eh! I might as well add it to the basket'. The brush is smaller than I thought it would be. It isn't the softest of brush and a tad bit scratchy to tell you the truth but I still like it to pat on powder or blush.

Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Royal

The only nail polish I ordered is Revlon's Top Speed in Royal. I wasn't planning on buying any nail polish but when I saw this I was like - I MUST HAVE IT!! I have been craving a royal navy blue nail polish ever since I saw a Nails Inc nail polish in the colour Baker Street. However, the Nails inc one is £11 but this one was only 99p.

Royal Lashed Out Individual Lashes in Long
I have been wanting to try out individual lashes for a while now so when I saw these for only £1.99 I thought I have to give it a go. I chose the long lashes and I think they are the perfect length for my lashes as my lashes are quite long naturally. It comes with an glue and a mini pair of tweezers. The tweezers aren't that comfortable to use so I might just chuck them away and just use my own tweezers.

L-R Maybelline Sensational Lipstick in Coral Pearl, Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Rouge and Notting Hill , hattan Soft Mat Lip Cream in 53 M, Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Nude Lustre, Astor  Perfect Stay Transferproof Lip Tint in Blushing Rose

I was really excited to see the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss and I was so happy the shade Coral Reef was in stock when I was browsing but sadly by the time I reached checkout it was out of stock :( Oh Poopie ! I was devastated so to make up for it I decided to buy it in the shade Nude Lustre(which I don't think smells very nice) because I thought it would go well with Rimmel's Moisture Renew lipstick in the shade Notting Hill Nude which I also decided to buy. I came across the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in the shade Coral Pearl and I was immediately attracted to it mainly because it had the word 'Coral' in it...I ain't gonna lie :) The Rimmel lipsticks are so far so good. I had them for a day so I don't know much but I really like the colour and feel of them. Note to be taken, after taking the picture of the swatches, I tried to wipe them and I noticed that the Rimmel Lipstick in Rouge did stain my arm a bit. Rouge is a very interesting colour because it looks quite dark red as a bullet but when swatched it's much lighter and has a pinky purpley undertone to it. Never judge a lipstick by it's bullet ;) I was also super excited for Manhattan's Soft Mat Lip Cream because it looks like a dupe of NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams. I have never tried NYX one because I can't easily access it so I can't really compare it with the Manhattan one. I really love the Manhattan Soft Mat Lip Cream! They're so creamy at first but in a minute or two it becomes completely matte. The last lip product I got was Astor's Perfect Stay Lip Tint which is amazing so far.

Mudd Original Face Mask

The only piece of skincare product I purchased was a Mudd Original Face Mask. I haven't used this yet but I am excited.

L-R Maybelline Sensational Lipstick in Coral Pearl, Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Rouge and Notting Hill , hattan Soft Mat Lip Cream in 53 M, Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Nude Lustre, Astor  Perfect Stay Transferproof Lip Tint in Blushing Rose

I might do a separate review for some of these products in the future after I have used them so I can give you my final verdict. If there is a specific product you want me to review then please comment down. If I do do a separate blog post on these then I will link them.

Here is the list of everything I bought and the savings I have made.

Bold Pink Gradiant Nail Tutorial

I haven't done my nails in ages so when I did decide to do my nails I knew a simple one colour wasn't gonna satisfy my need for colour. I decided to experiment and try something a bit different not just a plain wash of colour. I hope you like the nails and lets get started with the tutorial (yay! my first ever tutorial).

I decided to go with pink only because I felt like it but if you want you can use different colour combinations.

This step isn't very important so don't worry if you don't have a base coat, you can just skip this. However, using a base coat will not only protect your nails from staining but also fill in any ridges in your nails so your nail polish application will look sleeker. The nail polish I am using is Barry M's Clear 3 in 1 Basecoat, Topcoat and Nail Hardener.

Now just apply any white nail polish. I am using Sally Hansen's white nail polish. It doesn't matter if it gets a bit messy because at the end you can just clean up the edges with a cotton bud and a bit of nail polish remover.

Ok, this bit is a tad bit complicated... nah not really, it's actually really simple. Cut a piece of tape and cut a V-shape. Now before sticking this tape on your nails make sure you stick this to eithter to the back of your hand or your shirt to make the tape less sticky. Make sure that your nail polish is absolutely dry and the tape isn't so sticky because there has been times when the nail polish was ruined because the nail polish wasn't dried fully or the tape was too sticky. Once the tape is only about 25% sticky, place the V-shape two thirds away from the tip of the nail (see picture above). Then apply the light pink colour and quickly but carefully remove the tape. This should leave you with a nice V-shape. Then do this to the rest of your nails. Now you may have some imperfections and mistakes, for example my thumb nail, to fix this just apply white nail polish to make the line sharper. By the way, the pink nail polish is by Barry M in the colour Strawberry Ice Cream.

Now this step is the same as the previous step but instead place the V-shape tape half way through the pink nail polish as shown in the photo. Then simply apply the darker nail polish and remove tape. Repeat the same to the rest of your nails. The nail polish I am using is Essie's Tour de Finance.

Apply a top coat to seal everything together and to get a glossy finish. Allow for it to dry and you're basically done except don't forget to use a cotton bud and nail polish remover to clean up around the edges. After that, ladies and gentlemen you have your finished look.

What do you think of this nail tutorial? How have you painted your nails today?
