So I was out of foundation and instead of buying my usual I thought why not try something new instead. After doing a bit of research I knew I had to try out L'Oreal True Match foundation(£9.99) (in the shade vanilla N2 ) because people just seem to love it. Boots had a 3for2 (like always) so naturally I bought two other stuff. One of which is their Brow Artist Plumper(£5.99). I had no intention of buying this before I stepped into boots but when I saw it I remembered Essiebutton mentioning this in one of her favourites video so I thought why not give it a try. I bought the lighter shade because I feel like my brow hair is too dark and I just want to experiment with it and see if I can use it to make my brows appear lighter. My third item was their Super Liner(£6.99) in the colour blue. I've never tried L'Oreal liquid liners so I wasn't really eager to buy it since I already have a holy grail liquid eyeliner pen (which is Supercat by soap and glory if you were wondering) but I bought it just because of the shade. I've been searching for a navy blue eyeliner for the longest time ever. When I saw this I knew I had to give it ago. I've tried this once so far and I would say its good but it's not quite what I'm after. The search for the one continues ...
Have you bought anything in the 3 for 2? If so, comment below what.
Happy New Year! I hope you all had great fun during the holidays! 2015 is finally here and I want to embrace it with open arms. Previous years I always complained about how the last year past so quick and this and that blah blah. But this year instead of thinking about that I want to look forward to 2015 because I know it will be an amazing year! They are many exiting things that I hope to achieve this year, for example:
Finishing my A Levels & getting the grades
Getting my driving licence
Getting into dentistry (hopefully!!)
I always liked the idea of new years resolutions because it's a good time to reflect on the year that has past by and realise what and how you can make the next year even better. I thought I should share my new years resolutions on here because I feel like I would be more likely keep up with them knowing that I have made them public and I can easily view them when I want to.
So here are my promises that I will commit to this 2015:
I promise .....to study. This the last year of A Levels and I have only a few months before my final exam ( woah. scary thought). I really need to just give it my all this year - it's now or never. I know that if I don't get the grades I'm expecting in the summer I'm the only person that I can blame. I know I can do it. I've done it before, I just have to do it again! So I promise to study regularly and make it my number one priority. Not be lazy and organise my time well.
I promise.....to lose weight.
I have 'accumulated' quite a lot of weight ( 6 kg to be exact >.<) in the last few months of 2014 which I'm very eager to lose. I feel very sluggish and just generally heavy all the time. So I promise to hit the gym more often and binge eat less. As well as that, to drink more water.
I promise.....to complain less.
I have somewhat become more whiny and moany over the last year which I have recently noticed. I really don't like it when people complain all the time and I myself became something that I don't like so I want to change that. Sometimes it's not worth complaining, especially when you know that it has to be done. For example, complaining about a a homework, it's has to be done so it's better to sit down and do it then moan and complain about it.
I promise....to cherish every moment.
Most people don't realise it but there's is no better time than now. You will never have this time ever again so I want to make the most of it. I want to remember every goodness that happens this year so that I can always remember 2015 as a good year. Do remember and appreciate random moments this year, I promise to keep a 2015 memory jar and keep a diary. I really used to enjoy writing a diary when I was young so I want to start that again. Even if it's not everyday, I'd love to keep a regular diary.
I promise....to experiment more with make up.
I love make up. Make up has never been a chore for me. But I really want to venture and try out different techniques and everything. I want to have the courage to wear bolder colours, wear more as well without feeling self concious. I particularly want to wear eyeshadow more often and perfect my skills.
I promise....to be consistent with my skincare.
As much as I love make up, I also love skincare. But the one thing I lack ( which my friend keeps pointing out....you know who you are ) is consistency. Even if I have the best products, it wouldn't matter if I'm not consistent. I have been suffering from quite bad acne (which emerged in the last couple months of 2014) and I'm determined to get that cleared. So I promise to take of my make up at the end of the day without a fail and just do the basic of my skincare routine at least.
I promise....to give this little blog of mine more love.
Aaah...blogging. I just love the sound of it. I know that I won't be able to give it much attention in the first few month of the year because of A Levels but once that's out the way I really want to rejuvenate my whole blog :) But in the mean time I promise to blog at least once a month and then hopefully weekly.
I promise.....to learn Hindi and Korean.
During the summer I plan on actually starting to learn Korean properly so that means learning grammar and vocabulary rather than just random phrases that I pick up when I watch Korean dramas. I'm lucky enough to have learnt Hindi to the level that I can now understand it but I would really like to learn how to read and write it too. I've always wanted to read a book in a completely different language, and I think I'm very close to achieve that goal this year.
Last but not least.....
I promise....to be happy.
I think no matter what the situation you can always find something good about it. I want to have a positive attitude and just be generally happy. It's a no brainer! So I promise to be like spongebob....why...?... because spongebob is such happy little sponge! :)
What are your new years resolutions? Comment them down below or if you have made a post on them then I'd love to read them.

So I wanted to start a new series - Currently Loving - mainly because there are usually a few products that I really like and I always forget to do a monthly favourites so they never get mentioned. So let's get started!
First up is my new obsession and it's this beautiful Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade Black Cherry. As autumn was creeping in, I was craving a wearable dark lipstick and after some research I knew that Black Cherry was for me. And oh boy, I have not been disappointed with is baby! I've worn it all week long! At first I applied it very sheerly then throughout the week I built it up and wore it a bit bolder everyday. I've been getting so many compliments on this all week - I don't know when I'm gonna stop wearing this! I'm basically going to be rocking this lip colour all winter ;)
I've fallen in love with the UD Naked Palette again! This is seriously the only palette that I can use day in and day out. At first I was feeling a bit guilty that I haven't really been using this palette as much lately because I've hardly been wearing eyeshadows at all! But recently I've been experimenting again with eyeshadow and love the natural and dramatic looks that you can create with this palette. I swatched the ones I use the most.
Removing your make up at the end of the day is not something that I'm very consistent or good at. So I like products that get the job done quickly and effectively. That is why I have only been using L'oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil to remove my makeup at the end of the day. This even gets rid of waterproof mascara so all I do is pump a couple pumps in my palms and then starting with my eyes I just massage this all over my face and ooh.. it quite relaxing.
I think toners are a great way to get rid of the final makeup residue left on your face after cleansing and also to just refresh your face during the day if your not wearing any makeup. I use No7 Gentle Toner and really have been liking it. Unlike other toners that I have used in the past, this doesn't dry or give my skin that uncomfortable tight feeling. It is truly a 'gentle' toner!
That's it for now!
What have you been loving?

So recently I was on a spending ban form August till the end of September, which was quite successful. However, at end of the ban I couldn't bring myself to buy anything so it took a good one month for me to splurge even after the ban ended. The first place I went to was Boots. Luckily, both Boots and Superdrugs had 3 for 2 across all makeup so I picked up Rimmel's Provocalips Lip Colour(£6.99) in the shade Make Your Move. I hadn't really heard of these before so I was pleasantly surprised by how long this lasts. Next, I got Sleek Matte Me(£4.99) in Fandango Purple - this was the main reason why I went to Boots. I have been wanting to try this for such a long time and I wasn't disappointed by it! Most of the stuff that I wanted were out of stock so I really annoyed, I couldn't really find a 3rd thing to complete my 3 for 2 so I just went with Soap & Glory 's SuperCat Eyeliner(£6) because I know that it will get used and it's just handy to have felt eyeliners at the ready.
From Superdrugs there wasn't anything particular that I wanted expect Revlon Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry(£7.49) (which I'm soo excited about>.<) and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer(£5.99). I noticed these MUA Pro-Base Prime and Conceal Palette and Powder and I knew I had to try it because it looks so interesting and plus at the price of £4 each it wasn't a big risk.
Then I dropped by Essence because I was close by Wilkos. I need a new mascara I decided to try their Get Big Lashes Mascara(£2.30). They have a ton of different masacaras so I was a bit overwhelmed by the choices. After seeing a review, I really wanted to try their Matt Effect Lipgloss(£2.30) - I got the shade Velvet Rose which is a light pink colour. Then I picked up the I Heart Stage Eyeshadow Primer(£2.50) because I've been wearing eyeshadow more often so I've been hunting for new eyeshadow primers. Lastly, I got the Eyeliner Pen Waterproof(£2.80) mainly because it was really cheap and I really want to compare this to the S&G's SuperCat Eyeliner. Plus it said it was waterproof which caught my eye.
My favourite type of eyeliner has to be gel because I feel it lasts the longer, and is easier to apply. I've stuck to the usual black colour but I've really been wanting to experiment with other colours. This dark green is a perfect way to begin trying other colour gel liners.
That fact it's a dark green colour means that you could wear this as an everyday eyeliner. I've been wearing this quite often recently. Usually when you mess up with a black eyeliner it's quite obvious but I think you can get away with this if you accidentally rub your eye (i do that quite a lot -_- )
Packaging wise it's pretty simple, it comes in a small transparent pot with a black lid. The container is plastic which feels a bit cheap but on the plus side it's quite light. The brush that comes with it is usable but I prefer to use my real techniques eyeliner brush instead.
The application is very smooth and it driesfairly quick. It's pigmented but when applying there may have to go over some areas again.
When I initially looked at the colour I thought it was a standard emerald green colour but when you look closer you can see small tiny little sparkles. I hope you can see from the swatches above the shimmers I'm talking about. I think it makes the eyeliner so much more special. Dark green eyeliner like this tend to look too dark and matte but I think the shimmers make the emerald green really shine through even though it's dark. Rimmel products are really impressing me lately, can't wait to try more stuff from them!
Have you tried this eyeliner? What's your favourite Rimmed product?

So recently The Body Shop had £25 off £50 which I made immediate use of. I've been craving a clay/mud mask for the last few months. My skins has been feeling so congested and no amount scrubs have worked on it. So thought now was the best time to get some masks.
The main reason I placed this order was because of the Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask. I've had this before so this was repurchase for me. The next mask that I got caught my eye - it's the Blue Corn 3-in-1 Deep Cleansing Mask. I have never seen this before on the body shop website so I assume it's new. I super excited to try this one, high hopes from what I read from the reviews on the site. My battle with spots continues on, will I ever be spot free? :'( ...someday but in the meantime I thought the Tea Tree face mask may be good in clearing my skin. Last of the masks is a Honey & Oat 3-in-1 scrub mask. I usually make homemade oat masks but my sister always complains that I make too much of a mess so I thought I might as well pick this up to save myself from the hassle of making one myself.
The last 2 things that I picked up were the Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil and Tea Tree oil. I have really been liking oils compared to night creams and day creams so I thought I'd see how I like the vitamin e oil . First thing that I noticed is that it smells really good! It smells sooo nice - can't wait to smother my face in this.
Did you make use of this offer too? What did you get?
